Coronaviruses are common across the world. COVID-19 is a new strain of coronavirus first identified in Wuhan City, China in January 2020.
For the fit and healthy, it remains a mild illness.
"First of all I would like to wish you and your loved ones all the best of health at this uncertain time.
The safety of our clients and practitioners is of the utmost importance to us. The current government guidance on COVID-19 has escalated to advise reducing all non-essential social contact - we have therefore made plans to temporarily close GILD Clinic from Monday 23rd March for an initial period of four weeks.
I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this may cause you - we have made this difficult decision to maintain your safety and the safety of others. We have thoroughly evaluated the situation and believe that this is the best option for all of us.
Please rest assured that any existing appointments can be rescheduled to a later date - this challenging situation will be a temporary one and our clinic will re-open as soon as possible."
- Dr Emily MacGregor, Clinical Director
